One thing I do know, you can't change hatred by showing those people that they're wrong about us.

Hillary Clinton does not have a connection with her voters like Donald Trump has with his. She's got people who like her, and she's got support because she's a woman, and she has support because she's Mrs. Clinton. She has support because she's a Democrat.

I don't live in Los Angeles. I work in Los Angeles, and even that - I audition in Los Angeles; I very rarely film in Los Angeles. I don't hang out with producers on my off-hours, so I don't even know what that world is like.

Even the news, to me, or newspapers, I have a hard time getting into it because it all sucks you into this negative, bad, there-is-no-hope side of it.

Normally that's the kind of thing, even Colin Kaepernick should applaud that, but people don't. And that's quite telling right there, but [Donald] Trump wants to reinstitute that.

I'm extremely interested in art, every form of art, but I'm interested in it when it's good and interested in it when it's interesting.

We've gotta cut this country down to size and people here need to find out what it's like what we've done to people around the world, and that's not who we are. And [Donald] Trump is coming along saying those days are over; we are the solution, we are going, our system of government, we are gonna promote it, we are gonna promote our way of life around the world as the best in the world.

I just don't understand why more actors aren't artists.

I don't care if it's five dead cops, a dead black citizen in Minnesota or in Louisiana, there are people trying to profit from it, politically profit from it. It's undeniable. I think it's cheap and I think it's sick. But they are there. And you and I both know who they are.

I think seeing the love between a mother and child is something we can all really relate to. You can remember it from your own childhood perspective.

If Bernie Sanders was the nominee, wherever he went, the crowds would be big and you'd be scared to death of them. You would be worried sick. There'd be so much energy, and those people would be running around and they'd be doing nothing but working for, campaigning for, marching for, protesting for Bernie Sanders. None of that is ever gonna happen happen with Hillary Clinton, unless they pay for it, unless they buy it.

I feel very much aware of my mortality. I'm here, and then I'm not. It's the same thing with everything else: the movie comes out, and then it's gone. Everything is changing all the time, and I'm not going to stress out and spend my entire time chasing something that ultimately doesn't exist.

There are some people who do not want this thing to continue to work, and that's what they're doing is all about. They don't want to unify. They don't want this thing to work. That's the whole point of going forth with grievance after grievance after grievance and victim after victim after victim, because this inherent system... There is an all-out assault on the unity of this country. There are people whose express purpose is to rip it apart.

We had very few things. I had a couple pairs of jeans, a couple shirts. And same with my mom and sister. I think my sister had, like, two toys. We were living off of instant noodles.

We're not hearing any Hollywood people talk about the Crime Family Foundation. We're not talking about any specific details about Hillary Clinton's work on the foundation.

More and more, my life is going in a direction that is not universal; there's only a very small group of people who understand.

[Hillary] Clinton glossed over a lot of things, left a lot of things out that people are gonna be filling in the blanks today, like [Donald] Trump. "I kept waiting on the one chapter I wanted to hear," he said, "and I didn't hear it. I kept waiting."

Each step of the way I'm learning. When I leave an interview, I learn whether I feel, 'Oh, that was nice,' or that made me feel like a little piece of me was taken. It's a line that is always on the edge of being crossed, and once you cross it, what's next?

[Bill] Clinton was able to defeat conservatives, Republicans, at every turn. And so he was given wide latitude, leeway. He could do whatever he wanted and not be condemned for it. But young people today are not prone to rewarding that kind of behavior.

My life is scheduled to the minute. I used to be notoriously hard to get a hold of. But now, it would be irresponsible for me to say, 'I'm not checking my phone.'

There are so many people who don't want her to succeed, and they've been doing everything to deny her what is literally her entitlement. And she has still triumphed over it all, the biggest crack in the glass ceiling ever, and it's Mrs. Hillary Clinton.

I was nervous to even talk to other kids in my class. I would hide in my room when my parents had people over.

How does conservatism find its way into the body politic? I think most people actually live their lives that way, but they have been poisoned into not voting that way because the brand - conservatism brand, Republican brand - has been summarily destroyed over the years.

I found I could perform in front of 200 people, but I would still feel nervous having a one-on-one conversation.

I'm a very highly opinionated person, and so people assume I'm opining on everything; when I open my mouth and say something, it's an opinion.

I was not a child star. I was more like a young auditioner.

Republican politicians are contributed to heavily by climate change, global warming, environmentalist wackos. That's how they're brought on board with this, and that's why an outsider like Trump is so appealing to so many people.

The moments that I feel a huge sense of accomplishment are actually the smaller moments, not really the bigger ones, the televised ones.

Everything Donald Trump does on TV is an added bonus. You either have it or you don't, and that's why the people who have it earn a lot of money. It's one of those genealogical things that some people have and most people don't.

The constant is always mythologies and the very first stories that we have. All of the movies that last, that you return to, the movies that struck you as a kid and continue to open up to you 10 years later and 10 years after that - those are the movies I want to make. Those things are eternal.

Ohio, you're too white, too many white people to be in any way meaningful in a presidential election.

I still have moments when I close myself in, but I wouldn't be on the path that I am with the career that I've had if I didn't have a deep understanding of the sense of my inner freedom.

People voting for Donald Trump are doing so for a whole lot of different reasons, but I think there is a typical Trump voter. I think they're there for specific reasons.

It's very rare when we are in control of everything. Sure, I can learn my lines, I can know my character really well, but there are so many factors going on throughout the day.

The movement that appears to be put together and led by Trump actually existed before Trump came along. The people fed up with the Republican Party, the Tea Party types, the people fed up with the Republican Washington establishment, Democrats included.

There is so much to be gained from adulthood! Feelings just become so much deeper. The feeling of sadness and loss is much deeper than when you were a kid, but the feelings of love and happiness have also so much more dimension when you get older... That is what's so hard and exciting about being a human being.

We have to choose every day to be active participants. To wake up in the morning and choose this life and make something of it is an incredible thing. Not many living creatures have that option. We have so many opportunities and options - it's a huge burden, but it's also the most freeing part of our lives.

I won't do things for money. I can't.

Maybe it goes away, but this is the way I've chosen to live: I want to go down or rise up as an artist. I don't want to get swept up in lipstick or whatever the hell.

I think it is the fact that I want to quit that keeps me going. It's very complicated. But I think part of this whole exploration with every job that I do is, in terms of overcoming fear and by overcoming the fear, I feel so much more complete, and I learn something new about myself.

Lately, I've been getting too much attention with the Met Gala and work going so well that I try to find rejection in my day. I'll seek out someone on the street or at the farmers' market and ask for something where I know they'll say no. No one likes rejection, but it's real. And I don't want to lose that feeling.

My identity was tangled up in the parts that I had played since I was a child. I would go through my closet and only see audition clothes: Brie looking older, Brie looking '60s, Brie looking '40s, Brie looking younger in the future.

Former Enron founder Ken Lay and CEO Jeffrey Skilling found guilty in the Enron case. Ken Lay is so guilty I'm surprised people aren't calling him Congressman Ken Lay. Wait 'till these guys find out in prison that insider trading has a whole new meaning.

John Kerry now getting slammed by the Republicans because of a botched joke he did about President Bush and Iraq in a recent speech. Kerry was stunned about this. He said, 'What? People are listening to my speeches?'

Well, there's a bright side to this for Ken Lay. You know, throughout the years Ken Lay has been a big campaign contributor to the Republican Party. So now, he'll be able to meet with those same people when he goes to prison.

President Obama has announced a task force to review the tax codes. He's concerned there are too many loopholes and too many people manipulating the system to avoid paying taxes. And that's just in his administration.
