Singer’s work with actor Chris Kristofferson was a slow start until he began to develop when artists like Johnny Cash and Jerry Lee Lewis started recording his songs. His big breakthrough came in 1971, when Janis Joplin's hit single "Me and Bobby McGee" reached the top of the charts. At the same time, Kristofferson presented a successful career as a television actor and filmmaker, with some memorable roles in Alfonso If He Didn't Stay Here, anywhere, A Star Is Born, Lone Star and Blade films. At the same time maintaining his famous career as a songwriter and producer, he has won several Grammy Awards, entered the Songwriters Hall of Fame and Country Music Hall of Fame and has seen his songs on charts throughout his life.
