Vladimir Lenin was the founding father of the Russian Communist Party, leader of the Bolshevik Revolution and architect and therefore the first head of the Soviet state. Considered the most influential and most controversial political figure of the 20th century, Vladimir Lenin founded the Bolshevik Revolution in Russia in 1917 and later identified it as the first leader of Union of Soviet Socialist Republics (USSR) which was newly formed. He was the source of "Leninism," the doctrine was compiled and combined with the works of Marx that Lenin's followers did to form Marxism-Leninism, which became a globalist view of Communism. He has been seen as the greatest leader and greatest reformist since Marx. He died on 21 January 1924.
