Incorporation with Conceptual artist Jenny Holzer (American, b.1950) is best known for her use of a diode output screen (LED), and her best-known Trans series. After studying art at Duke University in North Carolina, as well as at the University of Chicago, Holzer earned his BFA at Ohio University in 1972. Holzer entered the MFA program at Rhode Island School of Design in 1975, and while enrolling, he began experimenting with language in the form of inclusion, anonymous public works, and flyers. In 1977, Holzer began its first public series, Trunsters, which had boldly line-up signs that were boldly summarized, met a viewer using unpopular truth in each proclamation, such as "men are not naturally confident" and "money creates taste." These brief allegations make public debates straightforward, engaging viewers directly in large public discourses that often highlight important issues.
