Muhammad Ali was a boxer, philistist and social activist regarded as one of the greatest athletes of the 20th century. Ali became the Olympic gold medalist in 1960 and became the 1964 boxing heavyweight champion. Following his suspension of refusal to go to war, Ali returned the heavyweight title two times in the 1970s, winning the titles against Joe Frazier and George Foreman there. Diagnosed with Parkinson's disease in 1984, Ali spent most of her time in philanthropy, earning her 2005 Medal of Freedom.
