Conquering the Macedonian king, Alexander the Great was born on July 20, 356C., In Pella, in the ancient Greek empire of Macedonia. During his reign, from 336 to 323 B.C.E., he conquered Greek cities and led the Corinthian Church. He also became king of Persia, Babylon, and Asia, and named Macedonian colonies in the region. While contemplating the conquest of Carthage and Rome, Alexander died of malaria in Babylon (now Iraq), on June 13, 323C.
