Born May 9, 1860, Scotland, J.M. Barrie was a Scottish actor, best known for writing Peter Pan in 1904, or The Boy Who Never Grew Up. The son of a Scottish weaver, he moved to London to pursue his dream of becoming a professional wrestler. There he met the boys of Llewelyn Davies who nurtured his ingenuity. Based on the crazy Barrie characters, Disney created the animated classic, Peter Pan, in 1953.
