Born in Brooklyn, New York, December 1, 1935, Woody Allen is an American filmmaker, screenwriter, actor and author best known for his romantic comedy films featuring words and hits. He is also known for writing strong and well-defined characters in her female stars. Allen directed and starred in his two famous films, Annie Hall and Manhattan. Among the best performers were Diane Keaton and Mia Farrow, both lovers. Allen later became embroiled in a controversy over his relationship with Farrow's daughter-born World-Yi Previn and allegations of sexual harassment by another adopted daughter, Dylan Farrow, although his career continued to prosper.
