Roger Ebert was an American film critic. His career began in 1966, writing for the Chicago Sun-Times' Sunday. In 1975, he became the first film critic to win the Pulitzer Prize. That same year Ebert met another movie commentator Gene Siskel on a television program where they debated the latest film quality. The show proved to be a hit, with Siskel and Ebert becoming household names. They worked together until 1999 when Siskel passed away. Ebert died April 4, 2013, at the age of 70, in Chicago, Illinois.
