In 1950, he wrote his first article, 'The Last Christmas'. The success of this piece led him to write 'The Dark Arena' (1955). Thus began his career as a writer. During the 1950's and 1960's, Puzo worked as an editor and editor for a publishing company, the ‘Magazine Management Company’ owned by Martin Goodman. While striving to bring the two sides together, he sought new and different writing - something that would appeal to the masses. He eventually settled on crime novels based on the fascinating, mysterious life of the Mafia. This is where he wrote 'The Godfather' (1969). It was later translated into a series of award-winning films by Francis Ford Coppola's Academy. Puzo, who was a screenwriter and then a journalist at the time, received the Academy Award for Best Performing Drama. Thank you for introducing a new type of crime novels in English Literature.
